Car I am looking at getting has big custom cams. They are pretty loud during idle you can hear a distinct tapping. Anyone else have this?

Car= Twin Turbo built motor.

Car runs like a bat out of hell though. So I am assuming it is fine.Car was built and is being sold to me by a very reputable tuner/shop owner.

 

some valvetrains are just noisey

Mine is pretty noisey. I had Shaun adjust my rockers because I thought they were loose,.. but it was not the case. Its just a noisey valve train. Runs fine,.. just alot of tickey tickey.

Get louder exhaust .. so u cant hear the ticking Hurst!

 

Long tubes into 2.5" straight pipes into 3" inlet/outlet Dynomax Bullets,.. I think its pretty damn loud. Stupid loud. Trying to get a quieter set up so I can cruise on the street with out drawing too much attention.

Just got a 351 short block from Raymond. So going to need a completely different setup,.. (sigh). I like it loud.

Oh i cant hear the valve train on the malibu ... Headders to 4inch X pipe , 4inch into the muffles 3 1/2 out O_o
