Do I have to engage my transbrake for reverse to work on my C4.

 

It is possible, some transbrakes you do and some you don't..... If it won't go into reverse normally, try pushing the button and see if it does then..... If that doesn't work you have other problems.....

 

If that doesnt work check your fluid with the engine running. then check your linkage connection to the trans and make sure its properly connected and adjusted. 3rd I would say Hae a trans shop air check the trans for a faulty valve body. My buddy got some valve body from a Texas company that was supposed to make good shit and it was faulty.
