Ok heres the deal: I just recently bought a 97 Integra. I was going to go all rice but the mad Pony in my heart won me over. So i sold the Integra for a lil bit more than I paid for it. Well two guys at work are selling their Mustangs. Ones a 85 the others a 92. My question is which is better the Carb or the EFI? They are both in perfect shape minus the 85 has a leaky sunroof. Ive owned a 76(dont laugh too much it was my first car at 16) and my mom had a 91 lx 5.0 when we were younger but I cant compare the two. What do you guys or gal if there is any think?

I would get the 92 if I were u. Aside from he leaky roof the 85s came with speed density rather than mass air. Plus Carbs need constant tuning. The 92 would have more of parts u can swap. Plus I assume that the 85 must have alot of more miles than the 92. Good luck and welcome back to the Blue Oval family.

the 85 is carb....looks ugly to me----the 92 is EFI looks good has an endless aftermarket the 92 also syil had the factory forged pistons 93 they went to hypertectic pistons------so with this we can conclude -------92 is the way to go!!!

id definatly buy the 92 carberation is alright but fuel injection is actually easier to make power with and easier for the person----the EFI will tune itself adjust for gas mielage etc the carb will have to be tuned all the time to make best hp especially when there are weather changes---and you know how fast the weather changes here........

I have an 85 Gt and never loved a different car. The engine has over 175k on it and nothing has ever went wrong with it. 85s are one strong stang man!!!
