Shock tower brace
This FocusSport rear shock tower brace just came out for the Foci. What do you guys think of the design and mounting points? I dont know if I have ever seen one that mounts like this.

what the hell dont these people know that most people will not cut thier stock plastic panels for a bit of added stiffness. if you gut the bitch out then i say go for it but if you run it with the panels in then i say no way jose.

looks like a good easy clean looking install to me does the ass end on a focus really flex alot??? and this brace doesnt attach to the top of the strut tower---i dont know if thats good or bad but dont they usuallt attach to the top?---overall looks good to me....

I was also wondering why it was not located at the top of the strut tower. Maybe it would be in the way if you laid the seats down or maybe you would have to butcher the trim panel to much to get it to fit on top. I would have to think that the back of these cars do not flex a whole lot unless you are off roading the bitch. I would say pass on it and spend the money elsewhere for the little bit of gain you would probably get from the tower brace.
Suprisingly enough the Focus does have a few squeaks and rattles coming from the rear. These really cant be heard until you remove your rear seats and the majority of your rear sound insulation interior etc. A couple of the people who already have this bar in their car say that the squeaks and rattles are virtually non-existant now. Of course I would install it either without the rear paneling or with a proper hole cut so the bar can make direct contact with the shock tower. Hopefully the bar wont fall short because of a lack of extra padding from the rear carpeting/paneling.
