i have a 93 vert 2.3 lt mustang i'm finnished rebuilding my 89 5.0 ho and want to get her running.
i have the 89 engine harness but it doesnt plug in to my 93 . could someone explain to me how to repin this.

From the liittle that Ive found out about fool injection, several have said its easier to use the same year harness as what the car is. 89 chassis - 89 harness or 93 chassis use the 93 harness. HTH

 

you need a 89 v8 dash harness

 

put a carb on it .then no need for harness change.......

 

dont be so sure about that. remember the shish i was going threw cuz the person who did the swap in my car was a moron.lol

but yeah get the 89 dash harness and your set.

 

i found out this engine harness is from a 89 thunderbird . its speed density .
I was told all i had to do is find witch wire in the engine harness needed powere and ground and the fuel pump wire . cant i just get a wireing diagram for a 89 thunderbird and repin the 89 harness to plug into my 93 . im not afraid of repinning wires if that is all it is . i just need to know whitch wires to repin .

 

i have had friends do this with there hondas. but all of there different motor's are all so similar to the next and it makes it an easy task to do. now as far as what you have, i hhad a 92 4 cyl. vert. now the motor in the car is very complex. i did alot of research on that motor cuz of thing's i wanted to to do it. there is a huge difference in the electrical and i dont see it being an east task to repin anything, and that's even if it's possible. now i have the haynes repair manual for 79-93 mustang and 79-86 capri. it has the wiring diagram's in the back and your welcome to borrow it and see if you cant figure out what you need. i'll take a look in it tonight and i'll see if it's possible or at least worth it. but right now i have to head out to new port nowhere to pick up some stuff. good luck though. but your gonna save yourself alot of time and headack by just getting the harness. and someone corredt me if im wrong, but i dont think it would matter if your motor was speed density at one point. even if the motor came out of a t bird you should still be able to use the mustang harness and go ahead and use the mass air set up and harness and everything should plug right in and run.

 

Ok lets try this from a diff perspectiv .
if i were to inatall this 89 5.0 and harness in my car . dont i kneed to just ground and power the harness for the engine to run . i can figure out whitch wire is the fuel pump and toggle switch it temp untill i tie it into the harness .
ive seen people on youtube fireing these on the ground . im assuming they are powering the harness .
any ideas? again this is an 89 5.0 harness from thunderchicken.
