Default '99 Ford escort 2.0 Dohc and Sohc interchangable?
my girlfriend has a 1999 Ford escort with a SOHC 2.0 . Seems the DOHC version is easier to find and cheaper. Any chance that the engines can be swapped without any modification to the car?

i'd figure the only difference between the DOHC and the SOHC is the head. are the motor mounts and wiring harness different?
