I gotta 93' 5.0 Limited Edition with an Automatic Tranny, the car sat around for over 5 years, it's only got 38xxx Orignal miles on it. **there was no over drive due to my father racing it** I'v change the motor oil since drinving it again, but i went to leave one morning and i started it, let it warm up, put it in gear and it didnt do shit. all gears didnt do anything, i could let off the break and hit the gas and did nothing. i noticed one set of wires on the bottom of the tranny were unplugged so i plugged them back in. I tried it again, and this time it went into any gear, but wouldnt shift at all. w/e gear you put it in, your stuck in that gear..

WTF is going on?
Is it an easy fix or is it time to replace the tranny?
i added the **overdrive** becuz it might have alot to do with it

its an aod when overdrive goes out its only a matter of time till the trans dies.I lost overdrive in my old 88 hatch and a week later the trans did the same thing yours is doing.Time for a rebuild.

 

check the fluid, other than that look for a rebuild or a replacement

 

it's smoked.......
