how hard is it to remove the egr system?i know u can buy the delete plate but what else has 2 be done to completely remove everything?any help would be great thanks everyone!

 

from what engine?

 

You'll have a EGR code in th computer, which can but not always toss thr CEL, usually it just stays as a memory code. But you will have to have someone program it out

 

if its a 5.0 remove the smog pump and all the lines and the cated h-pipe.Then you can get off ebay the egr chip that will keep the ckeck engine light off,and then just remove the egr valve and get some sheet metal and make a block off plate and bolt it on where the egr valve was.then for the tube that hooks to both heads remove that and get one bolts or plugs and bolt them in the two larger holes in the heads.And there you go.

 

where is the tube that hooks 2 both heads?is it the plugs that are tucked into the "5.0 ho" plate on top of the upper intake?im trying to do the same egr delete

 

the tube is a long one that runs to the back side of the heads and comes out on the pass side.And NO dont mess with those plugs there for your efi
