ive been havin a problem with my 2001 f150 headlights, the dealer said it was the headlight module or resistor b/c my lights would come on when truck is off in off position, could some one either give diags. to where i could find it or even maybe help me if that aint the problem

 

just sounds like the headlight relay is sticking (on)

dont ever start where the dealer say's. always start at the most possible basic thing.
you'll find 1 or 2 sometimes 3 fuse boxes under the hood. on the bottom of the covers they are normaly labled what fuse or relay is what. find the one your looking for, if it sounds like of little box of rocks when you shake it, it's done for sure. but like shawn said it's possible for it to be stuck on. so go to the parts store switch it out to see if it fix'es the issue. is not no big deal. you can return it or keep it for the future. and if your check engine light is on, just take it to an auto parts and get it scaned. that could also tell you what the deal is. just giving you a place to start.

 

i thank yall for the info but like he said about the relays i checked them all even the ones in the dash behind the airbag on passenger side, ive also checked the fuses but none blown but i will go back to the relays and shake them to see if i hear anything cuz thats one thing i didnt du

 

you can't see a stuck relay, it will look fine.
