Default 93 mustang wheel offset info

i'm building a cheap autocrosser, I need to know the widest width I can get under the fenders, but more importantly, I need the offset, front and rear. I'm shooting for at least some 9-10 inch wide rims all the way around. They'll still be 13 or 14 inch however. I know, it's a little odd, just work with me. Thanks.

Yes, there's a virtual crapload of inexpensive stock car stuff out there, and my car is a 4 banger,
specifically..

I should've added that the car is a 93 notch, I've already scrounged plastic seats, glass hood, a set of doors to cut up and misc suspension stuff, fuel pump, etc. I just haven't had time to put it all together yet. The plan is to run it in one of the riceburner classes and wreak as much havoc as possible. The history of it is that a few years ago I finished 3rd in my GT in a stock class racing against independent suspension S2000s and stuff, so I thought a little payback might be in order.

9" wide wheels on the front,.. even though they do work. Will rub when driven hard. And thats using 245/45R17 tires on them. 275/40 wont work. Rubs too much. Personally I would stick with 8" wide on the front.

10.5 with a 315/35 17 fits on the back,.. but may have issues with the quad shocks with some tires and some rubbing on the fender lip if not rolled.

6.5 is the back space for a 10.5" wheel.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong,.. but I think 5.9 is the back space for 9" wheel. And 5.5 is the back space for a 8" wheel.

you will not clear the front brakes with 13" rims at all, if you goto bigger v8 brakes you will need 15" rims. Yes I know you cant, I tried sticking some circle track rims and tires on my 92 once, the car was almost on the exhaust in the back it was slammed down so much kjust with some 13 " rims and tires

Mars, are you certain? the car has the 4 banger front discs on it.
I'll be running a 3 link with a panhard bar, no quad shocks, as far as the body clearance goes, I've got a big hammer and a sawzall.
This is the kind of thing that happens when you get a car for free.

Also, thanks Hurstmeister

It wouldnt fit over my v8 brakes which are an inch bigger in the front over the 4 banger ones But like I said too that thing is going to be on its nuts. PLus we had to jack the crap outta the pressures too, I dont remember the specifics of the tire, but do know it was an oval track setup.

You can pick up 17x9 ford rims for cheap and they are going to be just as light if not lighter than those 13x9 steel rims. I dont even see 13" wide tires for auto-xing around anywhere. What tires I found where only 255 wide and were $200 a piece

Id just stick with a tried and true formula with OEM rims and a good suspension setup.

i had to grind the insides of my 14'' steelies for my slicks to clear my rear turbocoupe brakes on my car. You will definitely not fit 13" on there. just get some pony rims for now.
