Default Radiator and fan recommendations

I have a 88 Fox with a H/C/I combo and a Novi 2000 set up. It has a Napa HD 2 core radiator, 180 deg stat, new HD fan clutch, new fan and new waterpump.

Everything was fine and cool, until the Novi was installed (DUH) It doesn't run hot, just warmer than I would like. 170-180 cruising, 200-220 in stop and go traffic. I want to keep it under 200 deg.

I had been looking at the Ford Racing radiator PN M-8005-C. I am sure this will fit with my set up. I know someone who has the same set up and used it.

But today I see a Flex-a-lite rad and fan kit #52185. Summit has it with a free catch can set up also. It is rich, $750.

Any word on if this would fit or maybe somehting different alltogether.

I just want it to run cooler.

Thanks,

We run the copper 3 row for Cory's stroker motor with OE fan/clutch and it is too cool!

Converting to an electric 16" fan in the next few days, mounted within the OE fan shroud.

Thes 3 row units and low restriction 180 thermostats work great for us.

Are you running a/c?

When I had it the flex o junk twin fan cleared with the big belt. If no a/c set the radiator forward and run a real fan.

I was going to try a SN95 fan but it would not clear the charger belt. What pulley combo are you running?

I have the 7" crank pulley on it. I had the 3.25 blower pulley you were running first. Saw 16 psi at rpm. Ran damn hard, but didn't trust this motor with that much. I went back to the standard 3.5" the kit came with, now I am seeing 10-11 at rpm. Runs clean and still strong as hell. I have been driving it to work once and awhile with no problems.
