Well problem #1 would be the thing about Brandon Ford. Sorry to hear it.:[ Anyway you can check a few things. First replace the fuel filter if you do not know how old it is. They are easy and cheap to do. Get a Ford filter or one that you know is superior. Check the air filter if you have not already slapped in the customary K&N. If the air filter is gummed up that will eat gas like a mo fo. Check the differential. See if the tag has been removed or if it looks like it has been opened. That should answer your question about the gears. There are a few other obvious things you can check after this. Let me know what you come up with.
Woops forgot you original question. Peoples m.p.g. is going to vary a bunch given what they have done unless they are bone ass stock. Mine for example in my Mustang is probably 10 mpg if I am lucky. I have never exactly calculated it because I have a fuel cell plus I converted it to carb 6 years ago.

Heh I think it could be the fuel filter because i have a K&N filter.. I took the car to 135mph and i dont think there is a gear if I went that fast.... Ill try to buy a fuel filter today.

You could get your car up to 135 mph with anything short of a 4:10 gear if you stay on it long enough. So that really shouldnt be a determing factor for you. Let me know if the fuel filter works. If not there are some other things you can try.
Well this guy across the street (after I bought the fuel filter) said that its not that. If it was it would kinda jump when i hit the gas becuase the engine is not getting gas. I dunno if this is a factor but when i accel from a light in Drive it goes to 2500rpm then it shifts. But Im rarely in front of the pack to do that alot. I dunno if I should or not install the fuel filter but my raditor light came on this morning and I have a full tank of coolent. hmmm anything else that could go wrong?!?
