Default anyone good with ford bronco's?

its a 96 5.8FI and it seems to be a fuel pump problem, it turns over, gets spark but no start. i know next to nothing about these besides the basics and above that i have no time for it, its my friends truck and he wants it fixed pretty soon so if anyone can make their way over here (dunedin) he will pay you for the time.

Does the fuel pump prime when the key is turned to "on"? If not that might be your problem...

Turn it over, as your doing so press the pressure valve on the rail and see if you get fuel... If not then check pump and filter.

the fuel pump makes no noise, i didnt really get into checking wiring and relays and i definitely don't want to pull it out to test it. im pretty positive its the pump since its getting decent spark and if it was the timing it would fire a little.

so basically, can someone come fuck around with the fuel pump on this damn thing?

I just redid the whole fuel system in my 86 5.o efi. I had the no start problem. Mine had two pumps. It is usually the intank sending unit one. I got all my parts through bronco graveyard. They have good prices. get some one with the fuel pressure setup gauge and roll it over and see how high it goes. If it is not kicking on it could be the ignition switch. Had to change mine too. 10 bucks for that. You should hear the pump for a couple secconds when you roll the key to go before cranking.

Has he tried the fuel pump relay? Its in the engine compartment, there is another one next to it, looks exactly the same, that is the EEC relay. They are only about 8.00 from Advance Auto. Next to the mass air.
