Hey guys
Ive gotta friend who just bought an 01 V6 Mustang. Hes looking to put a little money into it for things like intake/exhaust horsepower performance but nothing too severe. Any tips on what he should do first? Help greatly apprectiated.

well..the things you named will work but bang for buck is the nitrous... i would get a cold air and cat back first then adj fuel pressure reg. then just go for the nitrous....he could do all of that for around $1200 and be as fast as gts(depending on what shot).

go with gears and he should check out May or June issue of 5.0 Mustang they have a big thing on building power in the 99+ V6 stangs. I would think that in a 6banger you should put 4.10 gears in you wont get the same tire spin with the v8 and wont lose that much as far as mpg compaired to the v8.

www.v6power.com has great tech articles and whatnot for the 3.8 Mustangs. From my past experiences exhaust and a K&N were the best bang-for-the-buck mods on the struggling V6.
