Where does this hose go?

Default Where does this hose go?

On the 302 water pump there is to connections in the 10-11 o’clock position. The one closest to the thermostat housing uses a bypass hose and connects directly to the left side of the housing right? The other one I assume it goes to the heater core? Where does the return line from the heater core connect to? Somewhere on the intake? Has anyone ever just plugged this or do you have to let it recirculate? I have it plugged at the moment but it looks like the pressure has blown out the rubber cap I used. Should I replace the cap or try to let the system recirculate? Im trying to make it to the track tonight and im scrambling for these last minute odds and ends.

cap it, use a hose clamp.

Mine looks like MiDiablo except it is cracked and leaking. I guess it just failed from old age. I havent run the car alot till reciently. Ill put a new one on. Did you also cap the other two or are you running the bypass hose? Thanks Guys.

i capped mine using a little section of solid aluminum round stock. cut the old hose off about 2" long. put the slug in it and then hose clamp it

you need to run the bypass for sure, but cap the heater line.

those caps usually arent made for that though. They are just simple rubber with no reinforcment
