You have to have a 93 harness. Check on Ebay and make sure to get the one I stated above. It will not run without it. It conrols much more than the fuel pump.

Plus you need a mass air ecm the one on you 88 is speed density and will not work either.

i dont have a speed density. sorry i didnt state before but the black car was a 88 with a 91 motor and harness. it is a mass air car.

i can probably get a 92 harness. i know you said 93 but would a 92 work also?

Count the wires in the grey round plug if it has four it will work. Six will not.

Na man you will be happy and done with the correct harness. She will start right up for you and a make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Thats what I did with an 86 I had. I have no patience when it comes to electronics. If it doesnt work like its supposed to and I cant figure it out. I'll go to what I know works.

well the next motor i build will be a carbed motor. but i was hoping to have a coupe for it by that time.
