The relay is part of the CCRM and cannot be replaced individually, you have to replace the whole box...

Thanks guys for all the help, it is the black box on the pass. side strut tower, but it seams to be a ford dealer part only, the cost is probably three times of that of a parts store price, I will let you know how it works out, Al-

Go to the junkyard, they are cheap, especially if you have deep pockets. Keep trying till you find one that works. If you go Ford and it's around $100 (I don't know what they want for them) just get a DC Controls fan controller. They are about the same price and they are absolutely killer. Infinately variable speeds and adujstable temps. Way better than anything you will run across for controlling your fan on anything.

Well Adam got another control box from $hawn that I put on this morning along with a new fan motor and with the engine cold the fan comes on when the ac is on and goes off when its turned off----that seems ok but when the engine gets hot (with the ac off) I have no fan unless I unplug the sender thats located on the heater hose just befor it goes thru the firewall, the fan stays on all the time like its a belt driven one and goes off when the engine is shut off, so now the fan is on all the time the car is running, I have no problem with this but I would like to have it operate like it should ,any idears why this is working this way?????thanks Al

How hot is it getting when you say the fan isn't kicking on?

The fact that the fan works when you turn the a/c shows the circut is working (for the most part). I know one of the main complaints is that the fan comes on to late when the car is in the 210-230 range. Mine would come on when the needle on the gauge was past half way. I ended up just wiring it to come on when the car was keyed on and left it that way until I got the stand alone. If you decide to do a switch for the fan make sure you wire it to key on hot source and not just a regular hot as you will end up forgetting it and have a dead battery a few times before you switch it around. (wait that was me lol)

The temp. gauge never went over 130 on this car, I would say it never worked at all so I am going to put a mechanical one on it but I do not see any plugs on this engine that I can screw one in so I am thinking of putting a tee on one of the heater hoses and installing it there, how about some idears----thanks Al
