Exclamation engine rebuild

i have a 94 ranger that ive put a good put of money in.. rims systems light etc...but its not fast at all...
i dunno if i should rebuild the 3.0 bore it out new pistons and so on
or swap it for a 5.0 but the problem wit the 5.0 is gas and i kinda wanna keep my air cuz i dont wanna hear my girl bitch.....

do anybody kno any machine shops around st.pete

I have a 94 Ranger with a 302 & 5 speed with a carb and got 14 miles to the gallon not bad I thought.

Fuck yea close to 19,20 maybe more but I was looking for performance not gas mileage.

about how much would everything cost to drop a 5.0 EFI in it

You can drop a stock motor directly out of an explorer. A/C power steering everything would be a direct bolt in. If you car is an auto it could be that much easier.

but i was actually think like a gt 5.0 because isnt the configuration different on the explorer and u cant do as much to it right?

Well the explorer motor had weaker pistons compared to the 87-92 H.O. motors but they did have the GT40p heads. And you were kinda worried about gas mileage and a direct bolt in that would be your best bet.

I have an EFI Ranger...i get 17 to 19 in town, if i drive "normal". the explorer stuff is the way to go, accesory brackets and exhaust manifolds are as close to bolt in as you can get. still gonna need engine mounts, the 5.0 explorer mounts only "directly" bolt into the 98 and up torsion bar rangers. this is not a hard swap.
