You can also do the Mathis front bumper reinforcement mod. Says racing only in the book, but those stock bumpers are only 5 mph ones anyway.

you knwo I read on the corral some of the earlier mustangs came with alumn rear bumper supports. I need to find one of those myself. Theres always fiberglass/carbon fiber body panels and alumn heads. Alumn heads and tubular front end will ditch a lot

Mars some of the early 80's cars had the aluminum bumpers. You can usually find some for sale over at four eyed pride.
