Default need help

my starter is grinding on my flexplate on the weight its a powermaster starter 9603 and the flywheel is a ford motorsport for a c4 with the small bell housing 157 tooth and suggestions ?????????????? it took a chuck out of the block plate on the starter and u can see the flywheel on the weight where it rubs are the weights suppose to face the motor or the torque converter??????

i think they face the torque converter.

I dont think you can put it on backwards, because of the offset in the hub.
I dont see how the weights could be hitting the starter unless they are mounted on the ring gear. I would bet the weights are rubbing the seperator plate (block plate). If the block plate was bent the least bit it will rub like a sum bitch, I wont mention how I found this out!! lol G/L

my powermaster starter did that, the weights hit the body of the starter surrounding the stator, it had to be ground off.

i cut some big thick washers like a c and slid them between the starter and the bellhousing
