How bout a TFI module?

 

are you getting spark?

 

I changed the whole distributor from a running car.

 

Good spark. I have one of the spark checkers and it will jump over 100 thousands of an inch. Also have a node checker and nothing there. The customer said he was driving and it started bucking and then shut off. I got it back here and the fuel pressure was way low so I put in a new pump. Now the fuel pump will not kick on unless I jump the relay. Also the eec relay will not click and all the wires are hot as they should be. I also changed the ignition switch as they are known for going out. So far the whole distributor,ecm, eec relay and fuel pump relay and pump all from a running car.

 

And the fuel pump would turn on without jumping the relay before???

No offense but now you have to jump the relay to turn the pump on you might want to retrace your steps and figure out why that happened. If the pump would turn on like normal before changing it now you have to jump the relay to turn it on that shouldnt have happend like that just by changing the pump out.

No offence taken I have changed dozens of pumps and can do it in my sleep so once again I have a problem that no one else ever seems to have.

 

Update. Customer broke the main ground to the ecm harness. Runs now and not more free repairs.

 

told you bad ground LOL

 

Don't make me come over there and spank you . It was making intermitent connection so it was not very easy to find. I called Mark at Just Racing and of course he sugguseted what I should have done first. Check everything that the customer messed with.
