Default Free tuning! Details inside....

I am a professional tuner in search of someone to participate in doing some testing to document various control strategies used in 2005+ Ford gasoline vehicles. In exchange for your time doing this, I will offer a 'box' tune similar to what you would get with a Diablo Predator, or SCT XCal2. Additionally, for those interested, you will get a rare glimpse into the inner working of the Ford PCM that runs your car.

Vehicles of interest are all 2005+ Ford gasoline vehicles, and all 2004+ F150's. Although I believe any of these vehicles would be suitable, Mustangs would be preferential because of my familiarity with them. I am not looking for vehicles that have been heavily modified, or are in need of a 'dyno' tune. These mods will skew the data, making it unuseful. The closer to stock the car is, the better it is for me.

This will not require ANY mechanical modification to the car. I will plug my computer into the diagnostic port under the dash. Thats as invasive as it gets. As such, no changes will be made that can not be undone. The tools that I will be using are industry standard, and might be the same tools that many local dyno shops use. As such, there will be no 'experimental' hardware hooked up to your car.

During the testing, I will be making periodic calibration changes, and I will observe their effect while you are driving. The testing will be done primarily under light and mid throttle. There will be very little if any open throttle operation, so, no racing required.

I expect I will need 2, maybe 3 evenings or approx. 3 hours each to fully test all the systems of interest. I live in the Westchase area of Tampa, so the closer you are the better, but I may be willing to travel to you.

Anyone that is interested or curious, I welcome you to PM me, or respond to the thread.

Thanks!
Brian

That was my whole problem with my 2005 mustang AND the reason I traded it in on my 2006. If I had the time, I would LOVE to do it.

Yeah its really scary to floor it on the freeway, only to have stall, then catapult when your not expecting it. Ford FTL on this one.
