Tires Rubbing
Im pretty sure its the right spacing but the car is pretty low, im thinking thats the main reason.
Also, I dont have the extra shocks on the rear that the Gts come with on there because when I put the 315s (old wheels) on, I had to take them off so the wheels could fit. Im putting them on tomorrow and ill take some pics and see if it that makes a difference at all.
Okay, I was just thinking maybe if you were running a super wide rim that would balloon the tire and possibly cause problems but you're good. I'd have to agree with $hawn and wonder if you have the correct BS. I fit 295/50/15s on my '95 (in the pic) with a 10" wide rim and had no issues and also without rolloing the fenders or beating in the fenderwells. I also ran my quad shocks (the inside shocks you were refering to) but I just had them reversed.
Pull a tire and check your Back Spacing. Even if the wheels have 5.5" BS, on your car it should still fit. My '95 was lowered too, but not sure how low yours is. Here is a pic of my car the way it sat then for a reference.

Edit: I was using stock cut springs, so my ride was pretty stiff. I haven't used Sportlines, so I'm not sure what they are like iun comparison. I think your tire may be just a tad taller but it can't be much.
Just like everyone else has said, rolling the fenders will probably cure your problem, but just be careful. Even if your easy, you can slightly ripple the metal just on the outside lip. I've rolled the lip on mine just recently and you can tell it. I've done it in the past and never had a problem, so maybe that was just a fluke. Sorry to ramble, but apparently I'm in a typing mood!

He has the corrct bs he purchased the wheels from me . they are the summitt prostars they are 15x8 with a 5.5 bs . they came right off of my 03 gt and I installed them directly on his car. They never rubbed on my car . His problem is his car is extremely low I mean atleast a 2.5 maybe even 3 inch drop . In order to jack his car up we had to lift it by the fenders just to get a low profile floor jack under it. also keep in mind that he is using a 28" tall tire on a lowered car . Chris

Okay, I didn't realize there was that big of a difference in the two tires.
I knew the 60s would be taller than the 50s but I was also thinking the 295 total vs the 275 total would bring the gap in height a little closer. I've never been able to get the whole conversion thing down. It seems a particular size varies from one tire manufacturer to another.
How much lower is his than mine in the pic, or is it about the same, just with another 2" of tire?
