Default Product Review: Irwin Bolt Grip Extractors

Irwin Bolt-Grip Extractors/Expanders — 5-Pc. Set | Multi-Drive + Specialty Sets | Northern Tool + Equipment

I love these things so much, I thought I would post them up.

I have never had a problem with one of these, they are worth every penny they cost, even come with a life time warranty. Basically works by having spiral teeth on the inside of the socket that cuts into the bolt while you loosen, and only tightens it's grip as you turn harder.
Get em, they are worth it

Good to have after you try using the wrong tool incorrectly.

I always take long to put shit together or take it apart cause I make sure I'm using the right size socket/wrench.

It's always good to have these since previous owners can fuck stuff up and rust blows!

those things are awesome when you wanna rip the top of a rusty bolt off and have it flush with the whatever you were trying to take apart

the problem is....there is a reason the head of the bolt snapped off in the first place. when they are that rusty/stuck/welded in place, a feeble easy-out usually isn't gonna help you
