Default Bad fuel pump?

Well my fuel pump has been pretty loud so I decided to go ahead and buy a SVT focus one. Well I dropped the tank an pulled the old one out only to realize that the connector wasnt the same.So I put everything back, but now on top of it the pump being loud, the car bog's pretty bad about 80% of the time when I give it gas. Do you think when I pulled it out that I just made the whole thing worse? It nevr bogd before bt since I went to change it out it has been. Like I said it was loud to begin with and now its loud and the car runs like poop when I step on the pedal.Any ideas? Thanks, John

make shure the vacuum line going to the regulator is hooked up and not broke and/or cracked anywhere.

FIXED THANK GOD....my buddy and I started fresh. We pulled all the wires and plugs....cleaned the plugs and checked the gaps on them.I was told that the plugs were pre gapped but we chacked any way and the were 40 but suppose to be 52, so we fixed that. I re hooked up he coil wires and unplugged the injector connectors and re connected them>we also disconnected the battery for an hour and took it for a spin....all is well....thanks for your helps guys.John

43 at idle still seems too high. And the fact that it doesn't move when you hit the gas. Spec is 30 to 45 psi but I would like to see it set around 35 with the vacuum line on. Which equeals about 45 ish with vacuum of which simulates wot.
