Stud Replacement Help
The studs for my wheel on my rear passenger side need to be replaced. I'm not going to do it myself, but what I was wondering is that a friend told me that if I'm going to replace the studs I might as well go ahead and get my gear put in. He said that you have to drain all the fluids in the axle and do a bunch of other crap, so since it's already going to be worked on that I should just go ahead and do the gear as well. Does that sound correct? Or is replacing the studs on my car easier than that? I have an 04' mustang gt. I would appreciate the help!

ummm get a new friend, heck you don't have to even remove the axle to replace a wheel stud. remove the rotor, bang the old one out, put the new one on and draw it tight with a few washers and a lug nut. I used spacers if you do not have a deep socket. Just do it slowly as you tighten it up.

Um yeah, keep said friend far, far away from GT......Depending on how you look at it he might have been doing it for your own good to get you modding lol.
haha hence why I said I could hook him up on a deal on a gear and install. Hell I will even throw in the couple of wheel studs he needs!
