Default more than just a crack

after finally disassembling my old motor, the crack in the block turned out to be a tad more serious.

looked to be just a good size crack.

and when i removed the crank, i heard a "clunk" and after setting the crank down i found this...

i can't believe it stayed together... and went the fastest it's ever gone....

Well there is a reason for everything I guess? I figured there was something going on. How did the cylinders look? Were the skirts scuffing on all 8?

When you get that beast back together make sure the pills are not reversed

At least you have a new short block... that is crazy the way it fell apart like that.... is everything else still good...pistons, crank, cam?

If so you got very lucky.

cylinders dont look to bad,and the skirts aren't scuffed to bad.... (you saw it when you were here.... )
just so the peps know, the pills were not reversed on my old motor !!!!! took the pills out of the new kit (that came with the new short block), and THEY were reversed !!!!!

will post detailed pics when the old rotating assembly goes up for sale !!!! and the cam if fine too !!!!

p.s. after taking the new shortblock apart and inspecting the main and bearings,,, YOU GUYS MISSED OUT ON A HELL OF A DEAL !!!!!!
this thing (and the NOS bigshot kit) is as new as maverick1090 said it was !!!!!!!
