Default Prepping block for head gaskets

I'm in the process of prepping my block for new head gaskets. I've scraped off all I could with razor blades. I was advised to find a red scotch brite type attachment for my power drill to knock off the remainder of the gasket material down to the bare metal.

I'm having one hell of a time finding anything to get this done...been to NAPA, Lowes, Home Depot, Pep Boys, Sears, etc. Can't find shit.

So what do you all use get this shit off the block?

Wire wheel will work but you have to be very carefull to only scrape off what you need to...if you get too heavy with the wire wheel your head gaskets won't have a flat surface to mount to.

I use the green scotch-brite cookies from Advanced in body section. With any abrasive you dont want to sand in one spot, only remove gasket
