Mass air questions??????????????
Does anybody know the factory size on a 2000 4.6 GT Mass air meter??? I wanted to get a 80mm Pro-M but I also heard that the Lightning Mass air was good too. What size is the Lightning Mass air??? Has anybody had experience with these Mass airs???
I have 30lbs/hr injectors right now. With the Lightning Mass air Ill have to use 42lbs/hr. Will there be any calibration problems with the computer???

If your injectors match your MAF meter you should not have problems. I have a stock sized 99 Cobra MAF laying around that needs a new home. The darn thing must be about 80mm if you are interested.
stock is 80mm. The new lightnings upgraded to a whopping 90mm housing. Latest issue of MMFF has an article in it. Get a c&l or pro-m and just dyno tune it.

Tony the stock meter is 80mmbut I noticed a substantial gain with my C@L when the car was NA. Im hoping to get it to work well with the Vortech. If I do that would be the ticket. I hear a lot of good things about the Pro-Ms. Ive got my stock meter on the car now because of some drivability problems wwith the C@L.

Hey craig I dyno tuned my car from the maf with my maf translator which allows me to run richer or leaner at idle and at wot. Steve at Tunetech can burn chips on the dyno for fords to recalibrate the bigger injectors with the maf. Dyno tuning is defininately better than having Superchips guess at it.

Boostplenty Thats where Im gonna get a dyno tune at once I get a blower. Tune Tec rocks. Having a blown car I would rather dyno and tune the car w/ an aftermarket maf on it so I dont lean out the motor......KaBOOM!

We had a club memeber who had a superchip after he added a blower to his car (6lbs)and had the chip recalibrated he LOST 15 hp. Tuning it on a dyno is the only way to go.Plus Steve has Air/Fuel meter as well to make sure youre not leaning out the motor at the high end.
