Arrow Who runs no wipers?

I'm contemplating deleting my wipers, motor, everything on the notch. The car wont be a DD but it will be driven to and from the track (autocross) and the occasional Stang meet.
Who runs no wipers with something like Rain-X? Comments??

Meh, if you are just driving to an tuocross track I would take em off.
My buddies parents van has stripped threads where the wipers bolt down so we rain-x'd the hell out of the windshield, works just fine.

Rain x is great, but does nothing for drizzle and misc spray. Why do you have to remove them?

I'm keeping mine. If I'm feeling like I need to lose minimal weight then I suppose I could just remove the wiper arms/blades and put them back on later, but that's just me.

Haaa yeah FHP be all over me!!
Real reason is I'm going to use the cowl area for a air filter/cowl induction. It will be easier if the inner wiper mechanics are gone on the pass side. I don't think I can rig up the driver side only with the stock motor/mechanics.

It's Florida, when it does rain it rains really hard.... Rain X can't keep up with that. Keep 'em.

If it's not going to see any DD duty, and very MINIMAL street duty. One can assume that the car will not see MUCH (if any) rain. I say delete the blades, arms, motors, and all the metal mechanics that go with it. Should be a small weight savings, maybe about 15-20 pounds at most. But screw it. Rain-X FTW
