Default 1990 Bronco II won't start

replaced the valve cover gaskets today and now the truck won't start....it cranks over and gets gas but doesn't seem to get spark...thought that the coil might be bad so replaced that and no difference....i hooked everything back up and am totally clueless why it won't crank over....any help would be great as I am probably going to have AAA pick it up

Perhaps look closer as to what you failed to hook back up.

X2 ... if it ran before you took it apart, then you did not reconnect everything back the same way.

When you took the valve covers off, did you take the spark plug wires off of the distributer or the plugs themselves?

when I took off the valve covers i unplugged 2 of the wires from the driver's side but put them back on....thinking that there might be something wrong with the brainbox or the distributor.....pretty much the truck is brand new including the engine

Why not try switching the two wires you took off/put back on?

If you fucked up the firing order, it won't start back up.

Do you recall which two wires you took off?

I believe that the problem might be in the distributor with the ignition module and bought replacement along with a new temperature sending unit to fix the temp gauge problem in the cluster....gonna work on the old ford tomorrow....will give update for everyone
