Very simple. There are three options.

A) 2003/2004 Cobra

B) 1999 Saleen S351

C) 2003/2004 Cobra Saleen

Which one would you choose and why ?

 

03/04 cobra saleen is not so hot when compared with Kenne Bell or whipple. All forged internals. Take a terminator setup(option C) and put an 01 cobra intake, pro charge it with a small shot and 800hp. plus you could sell the stock sc for about a g

 

S351....because not everyone owns one.

I agree I like the Kenne Bell. I also like whipple. However I am talking stock for stock and personal preferences. I know the saleen s351 has almost 500hp stock. I like the 03/04 Terminator but would probably have to choose the Cobra Saleen. Seeing as it has both the sweet body style the Saleen has and the power or a Cobra. Nothing like dropping a 324 into that bad boy with supporting mods and a KB2.8 or even a twin 61 set up. I dont own any of these however am looking at a Cobra Saleen for sale and if I do end up buying the car I plan on doing something along the lines with the 324 and the KB or maybe wait until the new performance mod comes out. The new performance mod I am talking about is the supercharger and the turbo set up. I want to see how well it does before I would do anything like that.

 

If I could have a weekend warrior I would personally choose a 99' Saleen s351 for my play toy.

I am going to try and work something out with the guy that owns the Cobra Saleen. Maybe buy it. He says its pushing 600 horses with the mods. So if I buy it I definitely wont be doing any kind of performance mods for a while. I will probably try and pay it off by summer or close to it then try and find a 99' Saleen S351. Maybe do a few mods just to get an extra 50 horses outta it if not 75 more. But I agree the saleen s351 is mean.

 

Sh-t ! I went and tried to see if that Cobra Saleen is still available and didnt see it. However it was an online ad so I have the guys number. Maybe I will call him up this weekend and see if he just took the ad down. However if anyone is looking for a nice 1995 Saleen S351 I found one with only 188 miles on her.
