trying to install frpp valve springs on gt40p heads, had a set of retainers for E7's but the exhaust retainer is too small and is a rotator style. Has anyone used the springs and what retainer? I think o.d. was 1.44.

 

Sorry to be honest, BUT- sounds like a dropped valve disaster coming!!
Let a machinest set these up for you. Each spring in a set plus the seats are each a little different. they will shim properly and for a whole lot less than the latter will.

FRPP sels the proper retainers for those valve springs.....

 

thanks Frank that's the route I'm going was just seeing if anyone else had any experiences w/ this setup, the frpp cat is really vague and I knew my installed heights were off, don't need someone to setup for me plenty competent
