Arrow Help with engine ID **UPDATED**

So I searched and searched but I'm just confused.
I have a 302 roller transplant in my 86. I pulled the starter and found the following numbers:
A big 24, under that E7TE, and under that a small CA.
I think its a 87 truck engine am I close?
Thanks!

a 87 truck engine won't have a roller cam installed from the factory.

The head casting numbers are E6SE. No idea if the pistons are flat, the heads are still on.

I've seen LOTS of Grand Marquis engines come with E7 short blocks w/ E6 heads, as new as 1990.

correct, the panther platform never received E7 heads, they all had E6 until they were replaced by the 4.6 in 91/92
