oil question

Default oil question

i have a 2000 lightning with like 140k on it what kind of oil and weight do you guys recommend,and is it ok to put any additives in the oil..thanks for the help in advance.

I would not run a synthetic in it or additives with the blower. Go with some Valvoline VR40 or VR50. There are some things in those oils you can not find anywhere else.

The word has not got out much on the stuff and that is fine with me since it is hard to find. Rumor has it when the new EPA satndards go in effect in 2009 the VR oils and others like it will go bye bye. If this ends up being the case I need to stock up.
