Red face Wheel/tire combo?

Guys don't shoot me here ... I just need some help again. Wheely, I do. I searched but failed horribly for TR goodies. Had a thread recently about issues on the 93 4cyl coupe ... research now is for my son's car.

Using 17 x 9 Cobra R's --- how large (tire) can we go with under the Fox Body rears? Wheels read 24mm on the back if this helps.

Looking for actual experienced info to make a quick decision for Cory's 89 hatch. GT is lowered... courtesy of mom & dad and Eibach Pro kit.

His car will look nice, it sounds to me. Later, Daddio (that's me) gets them back for the 93 LX I found laying around at Meg's hacienda. Will I have any fitment issues with it?
>>> Will soon be converting to complete V-8 GT front end and 3.55 equipped 8.8 rear assembly. <<<

BTW - Where can I find a center cap?

From the PM i sent you Stangitman, I made a mistake, they are 17x9. And When I had my GT, the tires were a 275/40/17. For some reason I could not just flip the one shock, I had to just take it off. But I did not feel like I lost anything from just taking it out.

Gottcha, 17x9's --- sounds like 275/40-17 rear with 245/45-17 front is a success story for both coupe and hatch, you guys agree?

My reads find both tires are 25.7 tall. Got a source for Fuzion ZRi's at no higher than $400 rolling out the door!

245 might look funny on a 9" wheel, might want to go with a 255
