3.8l in a '95 fuel intermittant, stalls, won't start
the last 20 i tries to start the '95 cougar were no go except the try with ether sprayed into the intake, which ran for a few seconds, and the most recent try, which started and ran fine. previously, ran fine for a week. before that one day a cold start, stall, hard start, then stalling after about 5 or 10 minutes, usually from idling and/or coasting. when it wouldn't start, the fan ran, with switch on, not running, cold. inertia switch looks ok. looking for a fuel pressure guage. should i also try for a scan tool, in case the problem is a sensor, or other gizmo? thanks.
