Anybody here ever had a parking cable snap on them?

Default Anybody here ever had a parking cable snap on them?

I'm fairly certain that is what happened because it went all the way to the top of the pull on the handle and then something popped and the handle went back almost all of the way.

It was already dark when it happened so I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow to look under the car.

Mine usta pop out like that , than ill put it down and try it again and it usually worked!!!Someone told me it was something with the handle thing....Ive never got the chance to fit it tho cause I ripped it out

I really don't need to use it, I could park further up on the flat part of my driveway or leave it in gear...but now the BRAKE light is on...

I'll have a look at it tomorrow.

There is a kind of self-adjuster in the base of the handle that sometimes breaks. I'd say that's a lot more likely than the cable itself.

Never trust just the gear to hold the car, especially if you're on any sort of incline...

the cable could of poped of track.the cable runs in this gruve on a piece of ?metle? thats shaped like a half circle. it wouldnt be hard for it to pop off if the cables a little loose befor you pull it up.
