Default Mass Air Conversion

Here's the deal. A while back I researched that a swap from speed density to mass air was basically a necessity for a build-up. So I bought the kit from ford racing for an automatic. Had no instructions but was pretty self explanatory. After installation I tryed it for no more than two days before swapping back. The idle was erratic and would stall out quite often. I already had a 70mm throttle body on my intake and the kit came with the stock 55 mm. Was this the cause for the problems? If I get a matching or larger size mass air sensor housing, will I be able to run my kit?

did you unhook the vacuum line from your old map sensor or replace it with a newer BAP sensor? or neither?

Yeah, I unplugged the map sensor and plugged the vacuum line. I was hoping it was the problem, but no luck. Pretty sure it was the mass sensor housing size.
