well..i just returned from a trip to Indiana ..While I was their I got into a conversation with a childhood friend that still had a 86 gt that he had when we were in high school together.....black gt with red interior....sunroof car...5speed....well....I knew he hadnt been driving it and knew how anul he is about his cars...he has a 2000 LIGHTNING with 16k miles on it......well low and behold the gt had 38k miles on it STILL....its been stored in his barn for the past 15yrs...and before that it was only a summer car for the weekends.......the car in like new.....I hate the red interior...the car speaks for itself...whats it worth?........black w red 86 gt.....38k mile car......and and all parts removed are still with it....He offered it to me for next to nothing.....im thinking about hopping back on a plane and bringing it back here

 

It sounds like your getting a deal, I would'nt hesitate to assume it would be worth 12k easy. I mean if its mint and 38k miles. I wouold expect any fox to go for that. The trend is iffy hear lately, some cars simply blow me away and the owner HAS to get rid of it, so its cheap, then again you have "scalpers" of a sort charging premiums and thier getting it.

it would blow your mind........i guess I have to pick it up....id be stupid not to bring it back into the world..lol...I opened the door up on it and it was like it was in a time capsule...its in a barn...so their has to be some small scratches and so forth from cats...but the car didnt have a ding of any kind...the door opened and shut like a new car...it did have a cover on it but it wasnt on when i was their....every part is their...its had the same battery in it for 10 yrs...it started first shot when i was sitting in it......he comes down 2 times a year from where he lives and drives it around their farm ......the guy is super super cautious about how he cares for things...it has a couple bolt ons but he still has everything that came off of it.....down to the original exhaust.......the car is nice......

86 gts are one of my favs. id do a 5 lug and drop 95 cobra rims on it and just drive it.

 

its something ive been beating around...im not wanting to mod the shit out of it if I keep it.....id either sell it or drive it till it falls apart.....which would take forever..lol..
