quick question

Default quick question

i have a 2000 lighting,and i happen to look up at the ecu by by the pas kick pannel and i saw this open square hole in the ecu.is this where a programmer would of went.because it looks like some one had one in it then took it out.and you can see like 9 or 10 copper lines on the computer board.idk i was wondering.someone tried to cover the hole with tape but did a bad job. any help would be appreciated thank you.

as far as I know most programers work thru the diagnostic port

Yea, that sounds like a chip was added. I have chip in my car and they cut a hole in the metal box that surrounds the brain. If you look in the hole, you can see several copper contact points on the edge of the computer board. Just go get a tune and put something (back) in there...

was probably somthing like a diablo sport flip chip .. all ya can do is cover the hold with tape .. whats the question?

Chip,make sure its back to stock before you do anything.And by that make sure nobody went from chip to hand held and left the tune in.

Joe, I heard you haul ass passed Sky today. You need some longtubes and a Kenne Bell and that thing will sound alot better

lol yea im thinkin of getting full exhaust soon.it has a magnaflow exhaust now.idk if they left the tune in or not,is there any possible way of telling.like if i tried to hook the truck on a computer or somethin.
