Default Manual brakes on a street car?

Curious if anyone here runs manual brakes on their street car. I'm considering a major brake upgrade and the only way I can upgrade without pounding out my driver side strut tower to clear a larger booster is to run a hydraboost setup out of a modular Cobra or run manual brakes. Naturally I gravitate towards the manual setup as it is simple and doesn't add more complication under the hood. I've never run manual brakes before and I'm having a hard time finding the positive and negative aspects of running a manual brake setup on the street.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I had a manual brakes and they are a bear in a emergency stop. Some kits have a longer pedal for more leverage. I had a chassis shop extend mine about 1" and that made a big difference. More leverage.

Hydraboost is the way to go if it will see a lot of miles. There are no problems with braking or vacum problems with a cam. I guess a lot of it depends on your driving habits or how often it will be a "street car". Weekend warrior manual brakes os the easiest and cheapest

I hate the manual brakes and I am trying to remember why I put them on. I have had people pull out in front of me twice now and almost did not get it whoaed up in time at 45 mph or slower.

However they seem to be working well slowing down from 140 or so.
