2001 Cobra is alive
I ended up with basically new pistons/rings and brand new heads/cams/chains...all that.
It's leaking some water from the hose that attaches to the barb on the back of the pass side head. Looks like I can probably get to it without pulling too much apart, whew.
Ran it up to temp just a bit ago, got the fan to kick on, temp stayed in the middle. Turned on the AC and to my delight, nice and cold Car stalled a few times and would idle really low for a while. It seemed to get better the longer it ran. It has some pretty old crap gas in it (probably 5-6 gallons of year old gas), which it started on, but I added 5 more gallons of high-test. I'm going to get the brakes bled, leaks fixed and take it for a ride to see if I can burn some of that gas.
I don't know if it's the gas or the rings not being seated yet, but it puffs a minute, but steady amount of smoke as it runs and when it's revved - both sides.

So is it smoking all the time now, or just when it first starts up?
Just fyi, I'm assuming you know, but these things car be a real biotch when it comes to getting the coolant system bled. It will seem like it's fine and next thing you know the res will be empty. It's seems to do it after each heat cycle.
