I'm trying to find out some information on Quad shocks and what they were used for. Only thing I can find so far is they replaced traction bars in 1984. Where they used for? traction? I.E. Out of the hole? Or out of the corner or what?

I thought they were some sore of bullshit out of the hole traction device.....

 

They help to reduce wheel hop. Get rid of them if you have aftermarket adj. bars.

+1 bad and brian... when you get a stock stang...first remove the stock air box.. then the quad shocks....throw them both away (unless you want to wait fror the fox restoration craze)...and replace w/k&n and replace your stock upper and lower control arms w/ aftermarket ones...in my opinion if your gonna drag race use south sides or megabites...
