i have an almost brand new quick fuel 750 f/s...cost 700.00 new...550.00...ive ran them both and i think fuel injection is better for the street and carb is better for an all out race car...both can be made to fly..my .02 ... so gook luck with your change to carb!!!

Been there, years ago. I ended up going back to EFI. Less fuel, drives better.. If you go carb, you're married to the car because a lot fewer people are going to pay "better" money for a car that's hacked like that.

Now if you are making a race car, that's another story I guess.

I doubt Jeff was saying your car is a hack job. I think he means how people perceive an FI car turned to a carb. I do know several people who are interested in buying stangs. However, if they see a carb on it, they won't even consider buying it. These people just see it as the car has issues and won't ever be the same. (Remember, that is how they see it.) However, these are people who aren't going to be drag racing them every week.

Good Luck with your project!

i had a street/strip car that ran 6.58s and it was a carb car..a carb car is just as efficient as fi when setup right.

i only run carbs.

and if done right his shit will run faster more then likely with the carb.

I've done the carb thing as well, on a blow through setup. I still went back to fuel injection. The unburnt fuel made me smell like I was bathing in the gas for one. I didnt drive it often for two, so when I did drive it, the car would idle like shit, till I had to do some spark and fuel adjustemts on the damn carb. My air/fuel was pig fucking rich, hence the gas smell. SO i went back to Fuel injection. This is going to be a long debate. Just like the pissing argument of whats better mustangs or camaros, what the fuck ever. Do what you want, its your car.
