Ok guys i'm gonna give you a heads up here, the skyway bridge is CLOSED to fishing, there is a 100 foot security zone around the entire thing, including the dolphin system around center span. We are hitting this thing hard (actually were hitting all security zones hard) if your found around it the first time is a warining and your name goes into our system, unless your tied up to the sign that says no fishing then your FUCKED!!!! The second time when we run your name and see you were given a warning the fines start at 1000 dollars and go as high as 32,500 dollars. Please dont listen to people on chat sites, magazines, or tv. The other day i had a guy tied up to the sign that says "SECURITY ZONE" filming about fishing the skyway. He about got written for the full 32,500 just for making a show about it. Please i dont wanna hook anyone up with this but my hands are tied, and tell all your fishing buddies.

Because our govt is a bunch of paranoid retards. Its not the guys n the field who are at fault. Thats a pain in the ass Jeff. Its a shame they are wasting your guys time with bullshit. The only way to secure a bridge is to STOP CARS going over it. Dont you think of some insain religious retard wanted to blow up a bridge they would do the same thing they are used to doing all over and world? Which is fill a vehical with things that go boom then make them go boom where they wanted to?

 

Ok first its mainly center span were hitting, second yeah i know it seems stupid but there are reasons, john your right that if a towel head wants to blow something up they're gonna do it one way or another. But there are things that we need done for certain reasons, some i agree with but some i dont, but i have to follow orders.

On a side note i pull up to a guy last night with his anchor on the rocks at center span, no bull shit dude looked just like $hawn, boston red sox shirt and everything. We proceed to tell him nicely that he cant be here, basically cause were tired of doing the paperwork and figure we'll give him a break. Guy proceeds to tell me that "My Boss" put something out on the internet that says its ok to fish here. I proceed to say "Oh you mean the captain of the port???? The same "Boss" that put this crew together last week to do nothing but enforce this security zone?????" Guy gets all lippy with us yelling that our "Boss" put it on the net that its ok. Finally we just tell him "LOOK THE INTERNET IS WRONG, If you want i'll put up that the sky is falling, are you gonna believe that?????" Dude left saying shit under his breath, i wanted to hook him up with a fine soooooooooo bad.

 

Are the old piers still open?

 

As far as were told yes their open if you guys ever have any questions you can call the local CG station that covers the area your looking for here's a link with phone numbers, but please dont call asking about red tide of if its gonna be windy or high seas. If you have a legitimate question thats cool otherwise stupid shit will be dealt with as so.
