Since we need some more tech threads, answer this one....
Gravity < fuel pump

The issue is stuck floats because as soon as they unstick the fuel stops and the fuel does not come out the bowl site plugs. One or two whacks with the handle of a screwdriver fixes it every time.

Funny thing is it did not stick this time after I made this contraption.
He said haterbaiter!!!!

Oh hell no, I would never use that stuff. And if it needed something like that already some heads would have already rolled.
What is going on here is every time I change the jets in this carb the floats like to stick at first. This is fairly common on these carbs because the floats are notched for the long jet extensions this carb uses and they can easily stick the floats. (Have I lost you efi guys yet ?
)
When the floats stick the fuel runs back into the carb which quickly starts flooding the motor.
So what I have done here is slipped hoses over the discharge tubes coming from the bowls/metering plates to catch this extra fuel. This was in lieu of having to jam paper towels down in the carb to catch all this extra fuel until the floats would unstick themselves.
Ghetto but it worked like a champ !
Anyhow there you go.

john changed my jets and instead of bumping the fuel pump he just flipped it on. then he got out of the car to make sure everything was fine and he could hear fluid hitting the ground but saw no signs of it in the engine compartment. until he went to turn the pump off. then he noticed all the gas on the ground, maybe a gallons worth, had poured out of the air filter at the turbo. gas was even trickling out of the bov.
he'll have to keep that in mind next time. hehehe

Well, that settles it. When it happens to me, someone is getting a blowthrough carb chucked at their head. I really don't care about the physics of it - alls I know is if I spend almost a thousand dollars to have someone seal up some POS Holley carb to something formidible it damn sure better work right.
