ok i'm going to be droppin a new motor in the mustang and need a tranny to hold alot of power. i don't want to go auto. so is there any trannys that will hold lets say 800-900rwp. i was thinking about the T56 but i'm afraid of blowing it. i was also thinking about going 6-speed. any info is needed.

 

FYI - T56 IS a 6-speed.

 

i'm sorry i was looking at tko-600's when i wrote that. thats why i said thinking about going with a 6 speed.

You get what you pay for. Just fork out the money so you dont have to buy two tranny's!

 

your better off throwing out a huge chunk of change at once instead of throwing away little amounts of money here and there getting things fixed

 

to get a 6 speed that can handle 8-900 hp wou are going to spend an arm and a leg at least. possably first born.

 

yes they are alot of damn money. but i think i'm going to run a little less power for a while. what are the power limits of a t56 stock? i think 440ft/lb and the viper t56 is like 550ft/lb. so i'm not sure what i'm going to do. i'll figure it out soon enough. it's going to take a few weeks to build the motor i believe. so i have to wait anyways
