97 F-150 heater core

Default 97 F-150 heater core

I just put one in with new hoses, but now I dont remeber which hose goes on which hoses to the heater core.Can any one tell me which hose goes to the engine if im looking at the firewall from the front bumper?

If I remember the one that goes to the left comes from the valve cover and the one that goes to the right comes from the intake manifold.

I don't have on sitting here in front of me but it doesn't matter on that truck as they are both the same size and I don't believe that the core is designed to flow a certain direction.

just make sure that you have all three pieces, the two o-rings and the spacer in between them in side the quick disconnect fitting or it will leak like hell.

Just went to test it out, the truck is hot,but it is not blowing hot air. Could this be caused by the hoses being in the opposite hoses come off of the heater core?

check the door in the heater box...make sure it's able to move from hot to cold.
