I would try it. I've seen people get away becuase they were too "confused" about when a license will be suspended.

I drove and got caught with a transporter tag at 2 am and pleaded no contast.$70 fine, big deal. The officer acted like my balls will be ripped off and nailed to the wall.

Well, the worst that can happen is I pay the $118 fine, get 3 points on my license and pay a $26 dollar subpoena fee. It's more the principal than anything I guess.

Besides the fact that I couldn't see the school bus that was on the outside with its stop signs out and on a side note, does anyone know what the laws are concerning the location of the school bus that had its signs out?

My wife was calling around and she mentioned that one of the attorneys said that because of a new law or something that has just recently passed, I shouldn't have gotten a ticket anyway because the bus was actually on another street.

I dunno, since I was ticketed, it has made me wonder. What if the bus was parked the same way but say.... 50 more feet down that side street or further into the entrance to that subdivision.

Bottom line is, I think the odds are stacked against me but I'm going to give it a shot anyway.

Good luck once again.

This is true, but the only times I (or my friends) have had any luck with the court, it was with a lawyer. On our own, you just got owned! Sorry, but I'm still for the lawyers.
Which county? Pasco used to start off each night court by allowing you to plead 'no contest'. You paid court fees, fines, and then got no points. Not sure if this is still the case, but I didn't mind paying cash for dropping the points.

Eh... if it's just a principal thing, I doubt you will get anywhere. The judge will always take the officers word over yours.

And as said by others... Good Luck

School busses usually run the same routes at about the same time. If you can get a pic of the same situation with the actual busses, it might help...Of course, today is the last day of school ins't it? Failing than, get as many pics and measurements of the location as you can. If you can show that the second bus effectively shielded your view of the bus that was loading, you might have a chance.

For us it's May 22nd, so Maybe I'll try to get a picture on Mon or Tue, that's a good idea!

What were you driving? If it was a compact, make a point of the ride height in relation to the school bus.

Cool, what might be even better if you can happen to catch them in the same positions would be to do a video with a drivethru to show that it is either very difficult to tell there is another bus loading in front and to the side of the trailing bus or that it's impossible.

The reason I suggest all these pics is because I just happened to be sitting in the courtroom one day (ummmm, I like to eat my lunch there) and this kid was fighting a ticket where a cop was knocking on a house's door when he heard a "muscle car" sound on another street and then heard that bad ass car come around the corner on the street he was on. He said he saw the car slide around the corner and speed down the street. He ran out to the street, flagged him down and ticketed him. The kid's attorney had an album of pics that showed among other things that the intersection that the kid supposedly slid around was not even visible from the porch where the cop was standing. It was partially blocked by a house and, as in "My Cousin Vinny" some of those big tall things with thousands of those little leafy things growing on them. The judge chewed on the kid a little bit but let him off and said he should be careful because that cop would probably be on the lookout in the future...with a better vantage point. Butt chewing< ticket.

I was driving the blue Z in the pics in my first post, so yea, I'd say it's a compact.

I was thinking, I'm not sure if that is a normal thing, I mean there being 2 busses at that subdivison entrance. I can't say I ever remember seeing 2 busses there at the same time. I will take my camera with me when I head to work Mon and Tue just incase though. What can it hurt right?

Thanks for the info so far guys.
